Titans Slay The Tigers

T-Team Titans sprung the biggest upset of the new season when they defeated star-studded Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) 1-0 at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium, Kuala Terengganu last night.

Patrich Wanggai headed the ball home in the 71st minute from a set piece.

The last eighteen minutes of the match saw JDT trying to level things up but the home defence, led by Fabio Flor withstood everything The Southern Tigers threw at them, giving Azraai Khor his first win as Titans head coach.

The day of upsets was not just in Kuala Terengganu as in Selayang, Sime Darby FC also got the better of Malaysia Cup champions, Pahang with Mahmoud Al Amna playing a prominent part in the 1-0 win.

Fahrul Razi notched the winner five minutes after the start of the second half.

Terengganu were nearly safe in Ipoh as their match against Perak entered time added after the full ninety minutes had been played with the score stood at 0-0.

However Eliel Da Cruz had other ideas and his goal during the added time proved to be the winner and gave Perak their first win of the season.
